Floating – Book
This is the only place on the East Coast where the sun sets over the water — a breathtaking view that comes at a cost: hurricane season. Locals say that if your house survives September and October, it will likely endure the rest of the year. Still, people return, rebuild, and create memories here. That resilience is part of what makes this place so extraordinary. This book project reflects how communities adapt to recurring disasters and find ways to sustain everyday life amid loss. It captures scenes from as recently as two weeks ago and as far back as four years, revealing a town so compelling that, for many, the beauty is worth the risk.
