Negative Warsaw – Book

A phantasmagoric album of Warsaw's Old Town. The depicted locations are among the most frequently visited by tourists, yet they are presented in a way that makes them almost unrecognizable. The album showcases a part of Warsaw that is completely different from the rest of the city. On the one hand, it celebrates this area; on the other, it demonizes it. It is full of contradictions – it is supposed to be "old," yet it is only 60 years old. It is the heart of Warsaw, yet locals feel like tourists there. In the attempt to identify these places, everyone sees something different – thus, a map of a strange, imaginary part of Warsaw emerges.
